Charlie LeDuff and Rep. Thanedar
If you were a big fan of journalist Charlie LeDuff's confrontational interviews with politicians on Fox 2, you'll enjoy his latest video, in which he confronts Democratic Michigan U.S. Rep. Shri Thanedar.
LeDuff asks Thanedar about allegations that, in 2010, more than 100 beagles and monkeys used for lab testing in New Jersey were reportedly abandoned after his companies were placed in receivership. In the past, he has denied wrongdoing, but in the interview with LeDuff, he simply says, "I love animals, my family loves animals," and mentions that he has been a strong advocate for animal rights laws.
LeDuff, of the No BS News Hour, asks him if he knows where the Hitsville U.S.A. museum is, to which he answers, "I don't know." The museum, also known as the Motown Museum, is a Detroit landmark on W. Grand Blvd.
LeDuff then asks him to name the five Grosse Pointes, to which he responds, "I'm not here to answer a quiz." His district includes parts of Detroit, the five Grosse Pointes, Hamtramck, Highland Park and a number of other communities.
